The Center for Marine Studies is the anchor building of a new campus master plan developed for the University of Florida’s Whitney Laboratory located in Marineland, Florida along the Intracoastal Waterway. This 16,000 square foot building will provide vital new space for the Whitney Laboratory’s education and community outreach programs. It is composed of classrooms, teaching laboratory spaces, offices, a public exhibit/lobby space, and a teaching auditorium used primarily for lectures but also designed for smaller music performances. The new Center for Marine Studies is currently scheduled for completion in November of 2005.
