Dasher Hurst, on behalf of Southeast Development, was commissioned to provide a Masterplan study for the redevelopment of the Jacksonville Waterfront from the Landing down to the Old Courthouse site. The Landing site was converted to an open public Plaza surrounded by a hotel, residential, retail, parking, and a museum all over a lower level additional parking deck. The public plaza opened onto a greatly enlarged River Walk with smaller park settings and shaded gathering spaces. Two alternative uses were studied for the Old Courthouse site, one with a convention center use and the other community and educational uses.
