This project reimagined a shell space in the Forsyth Parking Garage as a vibrant new home for the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus. Guided by musical inspiration, DHA used technical music terms as a framework to shape a design that highlights key areas through playful colors, textures, and materials.

Signature features include a custom tile backsplash that replicates musical notes from a local Jacksonville composition performed by the chorus, and wooden ceiling inserts that echo the rhythm of sheet music. Acoustical light fixtures add fun pops of color while enhancing sound quality, complemented by a bold accent wall in the chorus’s logo color and a lively carpet pattern that ties the space together.

At its heart, a large choral room serves as a flexible hub for rehearsals, performances, and fundraising events, supporting both the artistic mission and the growth of the organization. The result is a joyful, functional space that celebrates music and inspires community connection.
