TruFi Credit Union is a small locally owned credit union in NE Florida, known for providing exceptional personal service to its clientele.  They approached DHA in 2024 to design a new Callahan branch on the site of their existing facility at the intersection of US301 and Old Dixie Hwy

The branch is a relatively modest structure, at roughly 2,000 square feet.  It is designed for two tellers, and two flexible office/meeting rooms along with the requisite supporting spaces.  Priority was given to maintaining the personal touch associated with a credit union.  Tellers are freestanding units in the banking lobby, allowing for more intimate interactions with customers.  While many banks are transitioning away from drive thru teller windows in favor of remote communications, TruFi insisted on maintaining a window for direct communication with its drive up customers. 

The design of the new branch was inspired by the rural surroundings, taking cues from the utilitarian metal roofed barns and stone structures of the area.  Interior design elements also include references to historic timber framed structures of the area.
