Renaissance Village

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Area: 46,000 s.f. (52 Units)

Renaissance Village is a renovation to an existing 40 year old apartment community on Jacksonville’s north side.  The project is owned by Ability Housing of NE Florida, a non-profit agency that is dedicated to providing affordable housing for families at risk of homelessness and is funded through the City of Jacksonville’ Neighborhood Stabilization Program.  The buildings, constructed of concrete walls and floors, require extensive renovation and improvements as they have been vacant for several years.  Our plan included all new interior construction as well as re-imagining the exterior design with new wood roof trusses to create a more inviting residential atmosphere.  The project was completed in the Jyly, 2012.

This project was done in collaboration with Ebert, Norman, Brady Architects.
